WORKSHOP FOR PARENTS ON ROLE OF NUTRITION IN GROWTH AND IMMUNITY 2025-26
On the 12th of July 2025 St. Michael’s School , Durgapur had organised a workshop on the “Role of Nutrients in Growth and Development” for the parents, and students of Pre Primary section. Teachers of Primary and Secondary sections also joined the workshop.
The programme began with a welcome speech and felicitation of the guest.
The session was organised by dietician Mrs. Bratati Dutta who is an M.Sc in Food and Nutrition and a Diabetes Educator.She was the former Head of the Department of Dietetics in Health World Hospital and presently attached to the Military Hospital in Panagarh.
The workshop was conducted with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of proper nutrition in the physical development and strengthening the immune system.
Dietician Bratati Dutta delivered a detailed presentation on different types of nutrients ,role of the nutrients and the nutrients that support immune function and protect against diseases. She also spoke about dietary sources and sources of essential nutrients.
There was an interactive session at the end of the workshop where parents participated actively.
The workshop successfully enhanced participants understanding of the importance of nutrients in supporting healthy growth and strong immune system.
The workshop ended with the vote of thanks given by our honourable Principal Sir.
