PREFECTS INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2026 – 27
-Leadership through Integrity, Service and Responsibility
St. Michael’s School, Durgapur held its Prefects’ Investiture Ceremony on 8th May 2026 in the school auditorium. The event formally inducted the newly elected Prefect Body for the academic session 2026-27.
Dignitaries present included Rev. Swapon Dorman, Vice-President, Diocese of Durgapur; Rev. Sudhir Hembrom, Treasurer, Diocese of Durgapur; Rev. Babul Sardar, Presbyter, St. Michael’s & All Angel’s Cathedral; Mr. John Paramata, Principal, St. Peter’s School, Benachity; Mrs. Jacqueline Nyss, Headmistress, St. Peter’s School, Benachity.
The service began with prayer, hymns, and a Bible reading by Mr. Gaurav James.School Captain Rayan Chakraborty (XII B) led the Prefect’s Prayer, followed by the blessing of the School Banner and Ties. The newly elected leaders took the oath of office and were invested with sashes and badges by the Principal, Vice-Principal, and Headmistress.
Outgoing Captain Sanjana Carol Khimla handed over the School Banner to the new Captain.The ceremony concluded with the school prayer led by Mrs. Natasha D’Souza, benediction by Rev. Babul Sardar, School Song, and the National Anthem.
