INTER-HOUSE ENGLISH ELOCUTION (SENIOR) 2025-26
On 2nd July, 2025, an Inter-House English Elocution (secondary section) was held at St. Michael’s School, Durgapur. Participants showcased their public speaking skills by delivering prepared speeches or reciting poetry. It is a platform for children to express their own well-being and improve their communication abilities, and gain confidence in speaking in front of an audience. Competitors are scored on qualities like clarity, articulation, voice modulation, emotion, and overall presentation during the competition. Students beautifully expressed their oratory talents. Our respected Principal Sir and Vice Principal Sir gave away the certificates to the winners.
Under Category I, Madhurima Dey (7B) of St. George’s House secured the first position, Anurag Patra (7D) of St. Patrick’s House secured the second position and Disha Sinha Mahapatra (8C) of St. David’s House was awarded the third position.
Under Category II, Rayan Chakraborty (11B) of St. Patrick’s House secured the first position, Rupkatha Mukherjee( 11A) of St. George’s House secured the second position and Aritro Roy (12A) of St. Andrew’s House was awarded the third position.
The winning House was St. George’s House followed by St.Patrick’s House, St. David’s House and St. Andrew’s House.
The competition concluded with a vote of thanks by the Principal who congratulated the winners and encouraged all participants to continue honing their public speaking skills. Overall, the Inter- House Elocution Competition,2025 was a resounding success, showcasing the talent, creativity, and confidence of our students.
