INTER-HOUSE ENGLISH ELOCUTION COMPETITION 2026-27 (SENIOR)

On 22nd July, 2026, St. Michael’s School, Durgapur hosted the Inter-House English Elocution for the Secondary Section. The event commenced with a prayer followed by the felicitation of the authorities with mementos of gratitude and the esteemed judges with a token of appreciation.

The contest provided students with a platform to display their public speaking abilities through prepared speeches and poetry recitations. It aimed to help students build confidence, enhance communication skills, and express themselves clearly before an audience. Participants were evaluated on parameters such as clarity of speech, diction, voice modulation, expression, and overall delivery. The young speakers presented their pieces with great enthusiasm and poise. One of the judges, Mr. Gaurav James, motivated the students with his words of wisdom. The Principal, the Vice Principal and the Head Mistress presented certificates to the winners.
