The competition involved active participation from four different houses within the school: St. Andrew’s, St. David’s, St.Patrick’s, and St. George’s. The event showcased the impressive talents of our students as they engaged in thought-provoking debates on the pertinent topic. The Debate aimed to foster critical thinking, public speaking skills, and team work among our students.
The topic for the debate was “Every Student should Participate in Sports.” The event commenced with the welcoming of the esteemed judges Mr. Sanjib Kumar Roy and Mrs. Swagata Chattopadhyay, two senior English teachers from St. Peter’s School and Ms. Debrupa Ray from Bidhan School, Durgapur. The rules and regulations of the debate were explained, and the speakers spoke for and against the topic. The debaters put forward their views confidently and were extremely well-researched about the topic.
