INTER-HOUSE BENGALI ELOCUTION COMPETITION 2026-27
An Inter-House Bengali Elocution Competition was organized in the Odeum of St. Michael’s School, Durgapur on the 21st of July, 2026. For the primary level, there were three categories-
Category No 1 – (Class 1),
Category No 2 – (Classes 2-3),
Category No 3– (Classes 4-5)
For the secondary level, there were two categories-
Category No 1 – (Classes 6-8),
Category No 2 – (Classes 9-12)
The students of classes I to VIII recited poems whereas the students of Classes IX-XII recited poems and delivered speeches on different topics. The programme started with a prayer by the School’s Head Mistress Mrs. Sarika Gracy Khimla. The programme for the Primary School was conducted by our Bengali Teacher Mrs. Jhulan Bapari and the programme for the Secondary School was conducted by Mrs. Prajna Paramita Mukhopadhyay. There were three judges each for the Primary School and Secondary School. At the end of the programme, the Principal of the school praised all the students for participating in the Elocution Competition, as well as the teachers who mentored them. The whole hearted support of the Vice-Principal helped to conduct this programme efficiently. The Subject Supervisor of the Bengali Department, Mrs. Anulekha Das Kanungo and other teachers guided the students for better performance instilling in them strategies that will go a long way.
