ALBERT BARROW MEMORIAL ALL INDIA CREATIVE WRITING COMPETITION 2025-2026 HOSTED BY ST. MICHAEL’S SCHOOL, DURGAPUR
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations organized The Albert Barrow Memorial All-India Creative Writing Competition 2025 at various centers across India on Friday, 11th July 2025. St. Michael’s School, Durgapur, not only participated in both Categories I & II, but also hosted the event for Category I of Pool C11.
Eight schools participated from the city as well as the surrounding cities like Bokaro and Dhanbad. This year, the topics were absolutely relevant to the present-day scenario and students could truly identify with the issues at hand. They were seen pouring their hearts out in waves of creativity. A teacher from a neighbouring school affiliated to the CISCE was invited as the Supervisor for conducting the competition according to the guidelines prescribed by the Council. Such events are meant to encourage opinion building as well as the spontaneous yet organized overflow of the powerful thoughts and feelings of today’s youth. We feel honoured for being given this opportunity of hosting the event.
