FLORA – ANNUAL FLOWER SHOW 2025-26
Flora, the Annual Flower Show at St. Michael’s School, Durgapur, was organised on Thursday, 22ndJanuary 2026, in the beautifully landscaped and serene Principal’s Garden, providing a perfect backdrop for the vibrant display of flowers. It showcased a stunning array of flowers in vibrant colours, expertly arranged to create a visually stunning and breathtaking display that captivated the attention of all who attended.
The event was inaugurated with a short and solemn prayer service by Revd. Sandipan Sinha, conducted in the presence of the Principal, the Vice-Principal, and the Headmistress, who graced the occasion with their esteemed presence. The dignitaries’ presence added significance and importance to the occasion.
The event attracted a large crowd of nature lovers, comprising of parents and students, who gathered to marvel at the beautiful flowers on display, admiring their beauty and fragrance. The flowers were a testament to the hard work, dedication, and creativity of the students and teachers, who had carefully nurtured and arranged them over long periods of time, showcasing their skills and talents.
The show provided a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their talents, creativity, and love for nature, while also learning valuable lessons about responsibility, teamwork, and environmental conservation. It was also an endeavour to cultivate sensitivity for aesthetics in the youth, instill awareness about the significance of nature in our lives, and promote a deeper appreciation for the beauty and wonder of the natural world. The excitement and enthusiasm of the participants and visitors added to the myriad hues of the garden, creating a lively, festive, and joyous atmosphere that was palpable throughout the event.
