EYE SCREENING CAMP 2025
On 11th October 2025, St. Michael’s School, Durgapur organized an ‘Eye Screening Camp’ for the students of classes III to V, in partnership with the Good Shepherd Eye Clinic and Hospital, Diocese of Durgapur.
The camp titled ‘Empowering Your Vision’ aimed at helping the children maintain good eye health through early detection and care. The eye camp was inaugurated by the School Chaplain Rev. Sandipan Sinha through a Blessing Ceremony.
Eye Specialists from the Good Shepherd Eye Clinic carried out the Screening and also advised the parents where follow up was needed. The Eye Screening Camp was carried out in slots where the classes were given definite time slots. The students came in school uniform accompanied by their parents.
The camp was a huge success with the cooperation of the parents and teachers. This health initiative by the school is an endeavour to bolster community relationships and guide students beyond the curriculum as well as the school boundaries. Such ventures truly prove that ‘We Care’ for the overall well being and development of our learners.
