ENGLISH ACTIVITY DAY 2026-27
An English Activity was conducted on 10th August for Classes I to V with the objective of developing students’ speaking skills, confidence, creativity, expression and effective use of language through engaging, child-centred activities.
● Class I: Students brought their favourite toys and spoke five sentences about them. The activity encouraged children to express their thoughts clearly and speak confidently before their peers.
● Class II: Students prepared short stories and brought a related prop, character or puppet for presentation. The activity provided an opportunity for children to develop their imagination, storytelling skills and expressive abilities.
● Class III: Students worked in pairs and enacted action verbs. This fun, interactive activity helped them understand and use action words through movement and expression.
● Class IV: A Speaking Skill activity was conducted in which students brought pictures of their favourite personalities and spoke a few lines about them. The activity enhanced their vocabulary, general awareness and confidence in public speaking.
● Class V: Students participated in activities focusing on listening and speaking skills. They presented short dramas based on Kabuliwala and Marching to Freedom, bringing the characters and narratives to life through dialogue and performance. Students also spoke about their favourite authors, using pictures they had brought as visual aids and sharing a few lines about the authors and their work.
The activities were conducted in an enthusiastic and interactive manner. Students participated with great interest and demonstrated creativity, confidence and active engagement, making the English Activity a meaningful and enjoyable learning experience.
