DENTAL SCREENING & COUNSELLING CAMP 2026
On 31st January 2026, St. Michael’s School Durgapur organized Dental Screening and Oral Health Awareness Camp in collaboration with Indian Dental Association Durgapur Branch for students from Pre Nursery to Class -5. Over 200 students had their dental check up done by a panel of 17 experienced doctors. The camp was held in the ODEUM. Students, accompanied by their parents arrived in various time slots allotted to them earlier in the class.
The camp started at 9:00 a.m. with a prayer led by Rev. Sandipan Sinha followed by the felicitations of the esteemed doctors. At the beginning of each slot students were adviced to refrain from consuming sweets and chocolates.
This was followed by the counseling session. For the convenience of all, separate tables were placed at different locations for screening. During the checkup various treatments were advised including fillings, tooth extractions and dental cleaning. Dental kits were distributed and certificates were awarded to the students.
The programme came to an end at 1:00 p.m. with the doctors advising everyone about the importance of teeth and the various techniques of dental care. A high level of students and parents satisfaction was observed, reflecting the dental team’s strong sense of responsibility and accountability in achieving the targeted objectives. The programme was indeed a huge success. At the end of the last slot vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Raja Moses who was the Project co-ordinator.
