The topic of Debate for Category I was “Social media does not give scope for real peers”, which was hosted by St. James’ School, Kolkata. The topic for Category II was “Facebook friends are becoming more real than real friends”, which was hosted by Welland Gouldsmith School, also in Kolkata. Our debaters were redoubtable and put forward compelling arguments. They received positive remarks from the judges and also had the opportunity to meet the Frank Anthony All India Debate Champions of 2019.

Our team was also personally congratulated and motivated by one of the judges, Swati Gautam, and also the moderator, Mr. Pradeep Gooptu, who are both honorable members of the Calcutta Debating Circle. It was an insightful and enriching experience for the participants and matter of immense pride for the school.
