SPORTING EXCELLENCE OF OUR YOUNG ACHIEVERS 2025-26
St. Michael’s School, Durgapur, is proud to share the outstanding achievements of our students in the recent Athletics and Karate competitions.
In Athletics, held from 30th January to 1st February 2026, by the Sub-Divisional Sports Association, our students displayed remarkable skill and determination. Ishan Bhowmick of Class 9C secured the first position in the 600 metres race. Saptarshi Ganguli of Class 6D secured the third position in the Triathlon (Group B). Upshree Hembrom of Class 6D achieved the third position in Javelin Throw. Archita Barik of Class 11B secured the first position in the 400 metres race.
In Karate, held on 1st February 2026, by the Paschim Bardhaman District Seiko Kai Karate Association, our students once again brought laurels to the school. Kuntal Biswas of Class 9A won a Gold Medal in Kumite and was also honoured with the Best Performance Award. Rishit Das Sarma of Class 9A won a Bronze Medal in Kumite. Limisha Dutta of Class 4A secured a Silver Medal in Kumite. Tirtho Shyam of Class 9C won a Gold Medal in Kata and was honoured by former Indian Cricket Captain, Mr. Sourav Ganguly. The school congratulates all the achievers for their hard work, dedication and sporting spirit. We wish them greater success in the future.
