PARTICIPATION IN THE FRANK ANTHONY DEBATE 2025-26
On July 14, 2025, Tuesday, four students from St. Michael’s school, Durgapur, participated in the prestigious Frank Antony Debate Competition, held at two esteemed venues: St. Thomas Church School, Howrah, and La Martiniere for Girls, Kolkata. Tapashya Adhikari of Class 9B and Arunmoy Guchait of Class 10B represented our school at St. Thomas Church School, Howrah in Category II, Stage 1, while Aritra Roy of Class 12A and Retom Dutta of Class 12C participated in the Preliminary Stage [Stage 1] at La Martiniere for Girls, Kolkata. All four students showcased their exceptional debating skills, articulating their thoughts and arguments with clarity and conviction. Although they did not advance to the next round, they demonstrated remarkable confidence and poise, impressing both the judges and the audience. Each participant received a participation certificate, acknowledging their efforts and commitment to the competition. The experience gained from participating in such a renowned debate competition is invaluable, and our students’ performance reflects the school’s emphasis on nurturing critical thinking, effective communication, and public speaking skills. We are proud of our students’ achievements and look forward to their continued growth and success in future.
