57th FOUNDER’S DAY CELEBRATION AND FELICITATION CEREMONY, 2023-24
Founder’s Day Celebration and Felicitation Ceremony,2023-24
St. Michael’s School, under The Diocese of Durgapur Church of North India, commemorated its 57th Founder’s Day on 7th October, 2023.
A grandiose cathedral service was organised in the St. Michael’s and All Angels’ Cathedral where The Bishop Rt. Rev. Sameer Issac Khimla blessed the school flag and the flag bearers. The service comprised of hymns and prayers for the Lord by Rev. Samuel Halder, Rev. Sandipan Sinha, The School Principal, Mr. Charles Joseph Nyss, The Headmistress, Mrs. Sarika Gracie Khimla, the prefects and teachers and the school choir which marked a perfect gratitude towards The Founders’ of the Institute.
The Felicitation Ceremony for the meritorious students of the ICSE and ISC Examination 2023 was then organised in the school auditorium. The students were appreciated with certificates and medals for excelling in various subjects by the board members of the school along with other esteemed guests. Bishop’s Medal for Good Conduct was awarded to Puneet Singh while the Principal’s Award for the Best All-Round Student (2023-2024) was awarded to Pratikshya Pradaini Sahoo.
Medals were earned by Abhi Banerjee (Science) and Arpita Mondal (Commerce) for excelling in the ICSE examination 2023. Jaya Paul (Arts) and Binay Roy (Commerce) were awarded gold medals for remarkable performance shown in ISC Examination 2023.
The School magazine of the year 2023-24 named ‘The Phoenix’ was also launched on this juncture. It ended with the most awaited encouraging words to build up a bright future for the students by The School Principal, Mr Charles Joseph Nyss and The School Chairman, Rt. Rev. Sameer Isaac Khimla.Parents and students were provided with refreshments at the end of the program.
